ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) Integration is the automated exchange of shipment-related information between systems before physical delivery. It allows suppliers, carriers, and customers to share important shipping information, such as shipment contents, tracking numbers, and estimated arrival times, before goods arrive at their destination. This pre-alert enhances visibility, minimizes errors, and speeds up receiving and inventory planning.

ASN integration minimizes the need for human data entry by enabling warehouse, ERP, and transportation systems to exchange shipment information electronically. Companies can receive consistent, real-time access to shipment updates using structured formats such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI 856) or API-based announcements. This makes sure that logistical operations are consistent across numerous stakeholders.
